Lagrein Riserva 'Karl' Bergmannhof 2022

Bergmannhof's Lagrein Riserva 'Kar' is an intense, ripe expression of one of South Tyrol's principle grape varieties. The fermentation, which is spontaneous, takes place in vats left open and then the wine matures for a long time in wood. Prior to bottling, the wine does not undergo any clarification or filtration. This allows the development of body and complexity. The nose has juicy hints of red and dark fruit, with hints of spice and tobacco on the finish.
