Lagrein "Lindenburg" from Alois Lageder is a synthesis of city, rock and water. It comes from the homonymous farm, the Lindenburg Farm, where the Lagrein vines have been cultivated for over six hundred years. There is so much tradition in this expression signed Lageder and there is also so much territory, of which the different colors, the different shapes and the different particularities are told. A territorial variability that corresponds to a wine’s personality that is equally multifaceted and rich in connotations, without sacrificing the exuberance or density of the fruit. A biodynamic cultivation method that respects and enhances the environment turns out to be the cornerstone of the Lageder reality, which manages, like few others, to make the earth speak.
"Lindenburg" by Alois Lageder is made from 100% Lagrein grapes from vineyards located near the homonymous farm. Here the vines are over 50 years old and are still cultivated according to a pergola farming system. The soils, originated by the erosive action of the river Talvera, are deep and alluvial. The grapes are harvested and transported to the cellar, where they are pressed and transformed into must. Alcoholic fermentation is triggered spontaneously by the action of indigenous yeasts naturally present on the skins of the berries and takes place inside steel containers. The aging phase takes place in barrique, for a total duration of about 15 months.
Alois Lageder Lagrein "Lindenburg" has a ruby red color, identifiable in the color of a ripe cherry. It also recalls the perfume, inserted in a bouquet of ripe red fruit, chocolate, leather and spices. In the mouth the body shows powerful and beautiful structure, outlined by a tannic texture well managed and integrated with the freshness and with a slightly almond finish. "Lindenburg" is South Tyrol in one sip.
