Les Insouciantes Didier Grappe 2022

Les Insouciantes by Didier Grappe is an organic wine that knows its stuff. The name itself refers to people who do not care to respect the beliefs and opinions of others, and this red wine is in line with that conception, not adhering to any viticultural conventions, and maintaining its pure, free-range essence. A blend of Poulsard, Trousseau, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes vinified together in whole bunches, Les Insouciantes reveals itself to be fruity, spicy and crisp

LES INSOUCIANTES DIDIER GRAPPE 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Côtes du Jura 'Les Insouciantes' by the artisanal producer Didier Grappe is a red wine with an original spirit, the result of an unusual blend of red and white grapes. This label is a playful provocation towards oenological conformity, from which the producer Didier Grappe distances himself. In fact, the name 'Les Insouciantes' means "the carefree ones," a reference to those who live in the world of wine free from patterns and constraints, with a carefree spirit, like Didier himself.

'Les Insouciantes' by Didier Grappe is born from a refined blend of Pinot Noir (50%), Chardonnay (20%), Trousseau (15%), and Poulsard (15%) grapes, varieties cultivated according to the principles of organic agriculture, certified since 2007, on limestone soils of blue marl located at about 300 meters above sea level. After manual harvesting of the clusters, they undergo destemming and subsequent semi-carbonic maceration for 15 days with spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the same containers where the wine matures for 10 months. The final bottling takes place without prior clarification and filtration and without the addition of sulfur, in the utmost respect for the purest expression of the terroir.

Visually, the Côtes du Jura Didier Grappe 'Les Insouciantes' shows a lively ruby red color. Fruity hints of raspberry and blackcurrant peek through on the nose, accompanied by peculiar notes of moss, porcini mushrooms, and cloves. The taste is refined and slightly tannic, fresh and rustic, with a pleasant crisp finish, full of momentum. Precisely because of this carefree nature, the Côtes du Jura 'Les Insouciantes' can be enjoyed lightly, without rules, at any time and with the company of your choice.
