LUBERON ROSÉ DOMAINE DE FONTENILLE 2023 DESCRIPTION

Domaine de Fontenille's Luberon Rosé is produced in France's Rhone Valley, washed by the homonymous river that is born from the Swiss Alps and flows into the Mediterranean Sea in the city of Marseille. This land is considered one of the best in the country for wine production, becoming among the most productive in France. The winery's history dates back to the 17th century, and for generations the passion and experience for the world of winemaking has been handed down, so much so that it has created a productive and great business.

The Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mouvedre grapes in Domaine de Fontenille's Luberon Rosé are grown in vineyards covering 39 hectares, all of which have been converted to organic in order to respect the natural growth and development phases of the raw material and the surrounding ecosystem, for wines of sublime quality. The terroir is mainly composed of lime, clay and stones which results in a final product characterized by full and structured body. Human intervention in the vineyard is kept to a minimum and chemicals, pesticides and herbicides are banished. Grapes are harvested by hand, and in the cellar alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel for 3 weeks. It is also aged in steel for several months.

Domaine de Fontenille's Luberon Rosé presents a pale pink with bright highlights to the eye. The bouquet of aromas is reminiscent of ripe red pulp fruit, wild strawberry, white flowers and light herbs; on the palate it is delicate, balanced and fresh with a pleasant final persistence. It is recommended to be paired with pasta dishes dressed with shellfish and molluscs, fried seafood, smoked salmon; also interesting with savory pies and vegetarian dishes. A product to keep for carefree summer lunches in the countryside with the family or for barbecues by the sea while watching the sunset with friends, to enjoy the tasteful French terroir.
