The Melograno Rosso by Podere Concori is one of those Tuscan red wines capable of surprising for the story that they are able to tell. A winery with an unique charm, with an irresistible philosophy, with the ability, the passion and the desire to create a small masterpiece in the Italian wine scene. We are in Garfagnana, where Luigi decided to begin a dream that could somehow give back the right dignity to these ancient productions. A project undoubtedly challenging, not easy, but incredibly exciting that was born and grew thanks to the collaboration of Saverio, the winemaker company. Rhythm, harmony, balance: fundamental qualities of nature, for good oenological practice in the vineyard and in the winery before. The philosophy with which comes the Melograno Rosso by Podere Concori is exactly this. Vigne very old, full of charm and beauty, the vineyards of Concori, Piezza, Collaccio, Prete, Noceto, Selvapiana, on a soil rich sandstones; sandy soils and stony, formed by minerals and with a high presence of silica. Here Luigi harvest his Syrah, with a small addition of old native vines; Here starts a completely spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open vats and tanks. 10 months of aging in small barrels of 225 liters complete the birth of a great Tuscan red wine.
