Montepulciano "Spelt" from La Fattoria Valentina is a historic red wine of great renown, not only within national borders, but also internationally. The La Valentina winery has managed to find its most intimate identity and elegance with this Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva "Spelt", which fully confirms all the critical and public recognition it has received so far. The credit for this wine goes to Sabatino Di Properzio, who before 1990, the year the winery was founded, did not think that wine would become one of his greatest passions. Availing himself over time of the oenological advice of Luigi D'Attoma, he managed to enhance this Montepulciano to the point of making it one of the best regional expressions.

The "Spelt" Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva is one of the first oenological goals achieved by the La Valentina winery, which, after years of experimentation in the field, in the cellar and in the vineyard, has understood that the work must be followed especially in the latter and that all production processes must be meticulously cared for. Sabatino, aided by his brothers Andrea and Roberto, has shown that he firmly believes in the uniqueness of an area like the Pescara Valley, where sea and mountain influences create the optimal conditions for a grape variety like Montepulciano to express itself at its best. A terroir that they have decided to preserve by actively engaging in the eco-sustainable management of the vineyard and the production process in the winery.
