MOSCATO D'ASTI I VIGNAIOLI DI SANTO STEFANO - CERETTO 2023 DESCRIPTION

Vignaioli di Santo Stefano's Moscato D'Asti is a sweet sparkling wine that captivates with its joyful and convivial nature. It knows how to be both crystal clear and sharp expression of the aromaticity of Moscato, declined, however, with great finesse and gradualness.

The winery I vignaioli di Santo Stefano was founded by two of the most important and well-known families in the Langarola wine production scene, namely the Ceretto and Scavino families. The common intent is to enhance a grape with great potential that is too often mistreated. The vineyards, which range in age from 6 to 40 years, are situated at about 300-400 meters above sea level and cultivated entirely with Moscato Bianco, also known as Moscato di Canelli. The approach in the vineyard is that of minor interventionism, so much so that practices such as racking, clarification and filtration are reduced to a minimum, with the aim of totally preserving the exuberant expressiveness of Moscato and its immense aromatic heritage.

Moscato D'Asti wine immediately shows a rich and elegant perlage. Capable of cheering from the very first olfaction, the nose unravels between innumerable fruity appeals, among which peach stands out, and herbaceous hints of sage. The sip flows in souplesse, in a constant balance between calibrated sweetness and a contribution of freshness and savoriness that enliven the taste. It knows how to create memorable partnerships when paired with leavened desserts such as panettone, pandoro and doughnuts, but it can reserve further surprises when paired with fresh fruit or even low-aged cheeses. A bottle worth finding an excuse to celebrate!
