The Langhe Rosé 'Suasì' Deltetto comes from the early harvesting of Nebbiolo grapes. The short cold maceration and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel develop the jovial and immediate personality of this rosé. The nose opens in hints of small red fruits and hints of passion fruit. The sip is fresh, drinkable, reminiscent of crunchy fruit. perfect as an aperitif or with fish hors d'oeuvres, to accompany shrimp cocktails
The Langhe Rosato 'Suasì' from the Piedmontese winery Deltetto represents an interpretation of Nebbiolo in a rosé version to be appreciated for its freshness and dynamic taste. This bottle demonstrates the versatility of the noblest of Piedmontese grape varieties, from which both structured and complex red wines and, indeed, fresh and graceful rosés can be produced. These latter qualities are among the prerogatives that define the 'Suasì' collection, consisting of two labels derived from a small selection of grapes harvested slightly in advance in order to preserve the wine's organic acid content, thereby pursuing greater freshness and drinkability. The concept of selection is also emphasised by the name of the collection itself, since the Piedmontese dialect term 'suasì' means 'chosen'.
Suasì' Deltetto Langhe Rosato is a 100% Nebbiolo from vines grown using environmentally sustainable practices, excluding the use of herbicides. Harvesting takes place slightly early and is followed by a short cold skin maceration, necessary to extract the desired colour. The alcoholic fermentation of the must takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 °C and, again in stainless steel, the wine matures for several months until final bottling. The final release takes place after a further brief resting period in the bottle.
Deltetto's 'Suasì' Langhe Rosato has a soft pink hue reminiscent of onion skin. The pleasant aromatic bouquet offers hints of raspberry, currant and passion fruit, together with delicate floral hints. The taste is very fresh and drinkable, taut and immediate, characterised by crisp red fruit notes on the finish.
