L'Orma is a full-bodied, elegant and structured wine produced in the Bolgheri area from international grape varieties and aged for about 18 months in barriques. It is a Supertuscan endowed with energy and articulation: aromas of very ripe berries, tobacco and sweet spices animate a broad, soft, round and velvety sip with a long, spicy persistence

"Orma" is the broad and sumptuous interpretation of Bolgheri terroir from the Orma winery, Antonio Moretti's little jewel in Castagneto Carducci. It is the winery's first wine, remaining the only one until 2015 when the other bottle from the same blend was released: a limited production that stands out in the panorama of important Tuscan wines. Bolgheri is, in fact, an area that enjoys a perfect microclimate for international grape varieties, and here again, Podere Orma has taken advantage of the contingency of favourable conditions to develop its wines, pearls of refinement and very high quality.
The "Orma" wine originates from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the five foothill hectares that make up the estate, where the soil is composed of pebbles and clay, with little sand. The microclimate is ideal, with the nearby sea acting as a filter for excess temperatures in both summer and winter. After the September harvest, fermentation lasts a fortnight, with a maceration of 18. Then the wine ages in French barriques for a minimum of 12 months and rests for another 12 in the bottle.
"Orma" has an almost sacred area in its purple-red with deep violet hues. It presents itself on the nose with a bouquet of plums, ripe cherries and very fine spices. In the mouth, it is dense and fleshy, with good tannic development and a long, satisfying and enveloping finish. A wine with a marked identity, a great super Tuscan conceived for passion and pleasure, a true nectar of the gods that, like velvet, glides through the mouth. The "Orma" is a wine closely linked to Bolgheri, a red with an ambitious structure, a long-lived wine destined to evolve further in the bottle for the perfect expression. A great Supertuscan!
