"Pfefferer Pink" by Colterenzio is a rosé wine of a fresh and drinkable profile that tells about the Dolomiti air. Realized from a selection of typical grapes is vinified only in steel inox vats and it opens on the nose to crunchy aromas of little strawberries, peach and fresh flowers. Extremely easy to drink and perfect to be paired with your aperitif
Colterenzio's Pfefferer Pink is a delicate and fresh rosé that perfectly expresses the character of its origin. The wine is crafted through a balanced blend of red grape varieties historically present in Alto Adige. Like all blends, it aims to highlight the terroir rather than the taste of a specific variety. Alongside the classic floral scents and aromas of small wild berries, Colterenzio's label offers the pleasure of tasting a subtle, dynamic rosé with a pleasant mineral freshness characteristic of mountain wines.
Pfefferer Pink is produced by one of the most well-known and important names in Alto Adige wine. The Colterenzio winery was established in 1960 and today includes about 300 contributing members who directly cultivate their vineyards with craftsmanship and passion. The vineyards are located in the renowned areas of Colterenzio, Cornaiano, Appiano, Bolzano, and Salorno, at altitudes ranging from 250 to 500 meters. The red grape varieties used to produce Pfefferer Rosé find their home in morainic and alluvial soils characterized by gravelly and sandy terrain, which impart a particular finesse and elegance to the wines. The cool climate with significant temperature fluctuations allows for the harvest of balanced and aromatic grapes, ideal for creating an excellent rosé with a typically territorial character.
Colterenzio's Pfefferer Rosé is a young and fragrant wine that immediately expresses the primary aromas of the grapes. The use of a selection of clusters from vineyards planted with different varieties results in a particularly harmonious and balanced rosé. Vinification involves a brief skin contact and extremely gentle pressing. The must is vinified in white in stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine rests on fine lees in stainless steel tanks for several months. In the glass, it presents a delicate pink colour with bright reflections. The bouquet recalls floral scents, aromas of small red berries, pomegranate, white peach, and light spicy nuances. The palate is soft and fruity, leading to a fresh and savoury finish.
