The Pinot Blanc, a symbol of Trentino Alto Adige region, is a vine appreciated for its elegant character and its structure nuanced complexity buds that gift to drink. The cellar of San Michele Appiano is an example of quality cooperative cellar, known throughout Italy for its excellent production; now it has about three hundred and seventy members who cultivate nearly four hectares of vineyards. It is a historical brand of Trentino, its foundation dates from the early twentieth century, as evidenced by the beautiful Art Nouveau building of the cellar. The latter is now flanked by a modern wing, built at the behest of director Hans Terzer; with a functional and futuristic design the winery won the best wine cellar in Italy in 2000.
