PINOT NERO TENUTA VOLPARE 2022 DESCRIPTION

Tenuta Volpare Pinot Nero is a soft and crunchy expression of this noble black grape variety, born from a sustainable production approach. This small estate, founded in 2015, has only 4 hectares of vineyards, all managed under certified organic farming practices. The vineyard grows only two grape varieties: Pinot Nero and Chardonnay, which are used to produce honest and highly enjoyable labels. Behind Tenuta Volpare is the passion and commitment of Francesco Ronga, a winemaker driven by the goal of enhancing his land while working in harmony with nature.

The Pinot Nero of Tenuta Volpare is made exclusively from Pinot Nero grapes grown according to certified organic farming principles on the clayey and calcareous hills east of Trento. The vines were planted in 2008 at an altitude of 260 meters above sea level, facing south and southwest. Once the grapes have reached a good phenolic ripeness, they are harvested by hand and then pressed in stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation takes place in contact with the skins. Afterwards, the wine is transferred to French oak barriques for about 10 months of aging before bottling.

The Pinot Nero of the small wine estate Tenuta Volpare has an intense ruby red color with bright reflections. The aromatic bouquet is varied and refined with floral and fruity scents of red berries, sour cherries, and violets, enriched by hints of sweet spices. The taste is fresh and juicy, with a silky tannic structure and a finish reminiscent of ripe cherries. This is an exceptionally versatile Pinot Nero that can be paired with a wide range of dishes such as various meat or aged cheese-based first and second courses.
