Pinot Noir Agricola Mos 2023
Agricola Mos

Pinot Noir Agricola Mos 2023

The Pinot Noir by Agricola Mos is a fresh, lively red from a young winery in Trentino, based on a noble grape variety that is performing well in the region. The vineyards are on porphyry-rich soils, responsible for particular finesse in the final wine. On the nose there are hints of black and red fruit, aromas of sweet spices along with hints reminiscent of wet stone. A 'mountain' sip, fresh, clean and savory, accompanied by great juiciness and elegance, which make this Pinot both drinkable and precious at the same time

PINOT NOIR AGRICOLA MOS 2023 DESCRIPTION

The Pinot Noir from the Agricola MoS winery represents an interpretation of Burgundy's most famous black berry grape variety with a crisp, smooth tasting. We are in the Alpine context of Trentino, within the splendid terraced valley known as Val di Cembra, one of the most qualitatively important wine-growing areas in the region. Pinot Noir is one of MoS's latest wines, the result of a project launched in 2020 with the planting of a small vineyard on the terraced porphyry soils supported by dry stone walls that characterise the Val di Cembra. Here, cousins Luca Moser and Federico Ferretti are engaged in what is a true example of heroic viticulture, with mechanisation made impossible at times by the vertiginous slopes of the hills on which the vineyards grow.

Agricola MoS Pinot Noir is made from pure Pinot Noir grapes cultivated in accordance with organic farming methods, using only copper and sulphur for protection against phytopathogenic agents. In particular, the grapes come from a young, small vineyard, rooted on soil rich in porphyry and worked almost exclusively by hand. In the cellar, the grapes are vinified in red through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins, with subsequent maturation for about 6 months that takes place between steel and used barriques.

The Pinot Noir Agricola MoS presents itself with a light, bright ruby red coat. Fragrant fruity aromas of blackberry and cherry delineate the olfactory profile, associated with hints of underbrush, clove and wet stone. Taste tasty and elegant, with excellent momentum thanks to the juicy freshness and fine tannin, elements that anticipate the crisp berry sensations on the finish.
