Pinot Noir 'Barda' Bodega Chacra 2022

Bodega Chacra's Pinot Noir 'Barda' is a pure Pinot Noir-based red wine made with grapes from the winery's youngest vineyards. The goal was to create a young drinking wine that is fresh, genuine and versatile in pairings, and with 'Barda' they succeeded fully. Juicy, fragrant, it expresses notes of red fruits, plum and delicate nuances of sandalwood and is ideal to pair with meat dishes, fish, salads or even a nice pizza!

PINOT NOIR 'BARDA' BODEGA CHACRA 2022 DESCRIPTION

Argentine Patagonian winery Bodega Chacra presents Pinot Noir 'Barda,' a crisp, fresh-tasting label made with grapes from the youngest vines. By virtue of these characteristics and remarkable youthful expressiveness, Pinot Noir 'Barda' was conceived as a wine that tends to be drunk young, although it has excellent longevity. Like all the estate's vineyards, the Pinot Noir vines destined for 'Barda' come from a mass selection and were planted without grafting, free-range.

Bodega Chacra 'Barda' Pinot Noir is a pure expression of the Burgundy variety of the same name from vines planted in 1990 on slightly sandy soils. Agronomic management follows the dictates of organic and biodynamic agriculture, and the vineyards are situated at an altitude of 290 to 330 meters above sea level. Harvesting is carried out in the early hours of the morning, the coolest hours, and the grapes are then transferred to the cellar and mash a small percentage whole in concrete eggs, where alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously at low temperatures thanks only to the action of indigenous yeasts. The ensuing maturation phase lasts 11 months and takes place for about half of the mass in cement and the remainder in 15% new French oak barrels. The liquid is finally bottled without undergoing any clarification or filtration.

Bodega Chacra's Argentine Pinot Noir 'Barda' is transparent ruby red in color with garnet highlights. The nose offers fruity aromas of cherry, plum and raspberry along with deep hints of black tea and sandalwood. Extremely fresh and drinkable on the palate, with a silky tannic texture accompanying the juicy, fruity finish.
