Sigurd's 'Red Blend' is a vibrant expression of red wine from the Barossa, a skilful blend that undergoes a short carbonic maceration to accentuate the lightness and juiciness of the fruit. The nose reveals a broad spectrum of berries, dark hints of plum and undergrowth, opening the scene to hints of exotic spices. The palate is very fresh, with crisp fruit supported by soft tannins and intense savouriness. Despite its gracefulness on the sip, it is certainly capable of surprising even after several years in the cellar
