Red 'Morango' Tutti Frutti Ananas 2022

The Rosso "Morango" from the young Tutti Frutti Ananas project is a label from the Languedoc-Roussillon wine region that effectively expresses the Mediterraneanessence of its region of origin. The basis of the Morango red wine is a blend of the Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre grape varieties. Specifically, the Syrah is able to provide characteristic notes of pepper and black olive, the Grenache has always been appreciated for its richness and elegance, the Carignan is sought after for its noble, spicy sensations, while the Mourvèdre is able to add further structure and complexity to the blend. These are highly complementary grape varieties and it is no coincidence that they are traditionally combined in the prestigious wine-growing regions of the south of France.

The Tutti Frutti Pineapple 'Morango' Red consists of a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre grapes from sustainable cultivation in the Banyuls-sur-Mer region. After the harvest, the grapes are vinified red by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, half of the mass with 7-day whole bunch maceration and the other half with direct gentle pressing. The wine also matures in stainless steel tanks for several months until the final bottling, which takes place without prior clarification or filtration and with minimal addition of sulphites.

At first glance, the Rosso "Morango" from Tutti Frutti Ananas reality has a slightly veiled purple-red colour. On the nose, inviting aromas of cherries and berries alternate with notes of Mediterranean herbs, black pepper and olives as well as pleasant earthy hints. The taste is authentic, fresh and very pleasant, characterised by a soft tannin structure that contributes to the drinkability, with a finish in which the sunny Mediterranean notes of the nose return.
