The Ribolla Gialla "Zuc di Volpe Delle Mura" is a harmonious and expressive white wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia, able to enhance the peculiarities of the Ribolla Gialla grape variety. Freshness, smoothness and harmony mark the tasting experience, combined with aromas of peach and white flowers
Volpe Pasini's Ribolla Gialla "Zuc di Volpe Delle Mura" is one of the flagship whites of this important Colli Orientali winery. It is made from a selection of grapes from the indigenous white grape variety that is the territory's symbol. Ribolla Gialla has settled for centuries on the poor lands of the Friulian hills, kissed by a mild and always breezy climate, perfect for the full ripening of the grapes. The typical vein of citrusy freshness that characterizes the grape variety is softened by a particularly rich fruit and intense aromas, which give the wine a pleasant richness of flavour, always accompanied by a limpid mineral trail.
"Zuc di Volpe Delle Mura" is a Ribolla Gialla that is the result of Volpe Pasini's ongoing quest to offer high quality wines that best represent the great Friuli tradition. The estate can boast ancient origins, dating back as far as the 17th century, when the area's wines were already among the most renowned in the region. Today the vineyards cover about fifty hectares, divided into several plots, surrounded by large wooded areas that ensure rich biodiversity and a cool, temperate microclimate. The Zuc vineyard, Volpe Pasini's true pride and joy, is located near the historic patronal villa and occupies a wonderful natural amphitheatre with sunny southwest-facing exposure, overlooked by centuries-old forest. The grapes are gently pressed, and the must ferment in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine matures in steel for several months.
Volpe Pasini's Ribolla Gialla wine, "Zuc di Volpe Delle Mura," is the white wine that best represents the history of viticulture in this corner of Friuli on the border with Slovenia. In the highest parts of the hills, characterized by the poorest and stoniest soils, Ribolla gialla gives excellent, flowing and pleasantly fresh wines. In the glass, it is straw yellow in colour with youthful, bright greenish highlights. The olfactory profile is delicate and elegant, with scents of acacia flowers and jasmine, aromas of white-fleshed fruit, green apple and peach, and hints of herbs. The sip is vertical and saline, with an expressive tension that flows into fragrant fruit. The finish is characterized by a clear mineral freshness.
