ROERO ARNEIS RISERVA 'BRICCO DELLE PASSERE' TIBALDI 2022 DESCRIPTION

Roero Arneis Riserva 'Bricco delle Passere' is configured as the flagship white wine of the Piedmontese Tibaldi estate, produced with the best grapes from a single vineyard located within the municipality of Pocapaglia, in the southwestern end of the Roero area. After their success in Barolo and Barbaresco, Additional Geographical Mentions were also introduced in 2017 in the neighboring Roero DOCG, where there are now 135, including that of Bricco delle Passere.

Tibaldi Roero Arneis 'Bricco delle Passere' Riserva is made with only Arneis grown within the MGA of Bricco delle Passere, in the municipality of Pocapaglia. Here, the vines benefit from the predominantly sandy soil characterized by the presence of calcareous marls, as well as the medium slopes and cool northwest exposure. Harvesting is done by hand in the second half of September and is accompanied by careful selection of the grapes, which are then subjected to a cold pre-fermentation maceration aimed at extracting the noblest aromatic substances. After gentle pressing, the flower must alone is conveyed into stainless steel tanks where indigenous yeasts carry out alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. Finally, the mass matures on the fine lees for 10 months also in stainless steel and for a few more months in the bottle before release.

Tibaldi's 'Bricco delle Passere' Roero Arneis Riserva has a straw yellow color with flashes of gold. The olfactory range offers intense hints of ripe white-fleshed fruit, pineapple, lemon peel and white flowers, combined with delicate hints of aromatic herbs and vivid mineral puffs. Full and rich flavor development, characterized by crisp freshness and decisive savory-mineral verve.
