Cascina Chicco's Roero Arneis Riserva 'Renesio Incisa' is produced on one of the historic hills of the Roero, where this variety has found a home since 1478. The sandy-calcareous soils are responsible for great finesse. Vinification initially seeks to preserve the aromaticity of the fruit: with gentle pressing, half the must ferments in steel. The other half matures in French 'tonneaux' to give softness. The attack on the nose is rich in floral and citrus scents, then evolves towards complex notes of peaches in syrup, herbaceous hints and iodine hints. The palate is full and deep, supported by a savoury shoulder and great freshness
