Tormaresca-Antinori's Rosato "Furia" is a label that expresses all the Mediterranean and sunny character of the great rosé wines of the best Apulian tradition. Salento is one of the most vocated Italian regions for the production of this type of wine, increasingly appreciated on international markets. The presence of a grape variety particularly suited to rose winemaking such as Negroamaro and optimal vineyard and harvest management to obtain grapes with elegant aromas, make it possible to produce a fresh and refined wine, particularly suitable for pairing with seafood salads, shrimp, scampi, first courses with shellfish and seafood guazzetti.
"Furia" is a Rosato from Tormaresca-Antinori that comes from a base of Negroamaro, the red grape variety typical of the great rosés of Salento, enhanced by the international touch of two famous French varieties, Bordeaux Cabernet Franc and Syrah from the Rhone Valley. The vines are grown in the heart of Salento, in an area with a hot and dry climate, but always well ventilated thanks to the presence of sea breezes. The grapes are pressed very gently with brief contact with the skins, so as to leave a minimum of color and the most delicate aromas, without traces of tannins. The must is started for white vinification with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine matures several months in stainless steel tanks so that the fragrant freshness of varietal aromas is preserved intact.
The Rosé "Furia," produced on the Tormaresca-Antinori estate, is the most typical expression of the great Apulian tradition, revisited with an eye toward the inescapable models of Provence. While retaining a typically territorial face, it is a wine characterized by a delicate vinification, aimed above all at enhancing freshness and aromatic delicacy. To the eye it has a beautiful soft pink color, very bright and with brilliant reflections. The olfactory profile is characterized by delicate scents of cherry, red currant, raspberry, wild strawberry, fragrant aromas of citrus, pink grapefruit, soft hints of exotic fruit, floral nuances of orange blossom, jasmine, rose petal and iodine memories. The palate is harmonious, with ripe, crisp fruit that makes the sip creamy and satisfying. The finish is pleasantly savory, fresh and mineral.
