Bergmannhof's Rosé is the result of a combination of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinot Noir, international grape varieties that nevertheless elegantly express the mountain character of South Tyrol. Spontaneous fermentation is followed by maturation in oak vats and terracotta amphorae, to maintain the juiciness and cleanliness of the sip, but also tannin and structure. Hints of red fruit are complemented by intense citrus hints and subtle herbaceous memories. Crisp and juicy, it goes well with intense fish dishes or delicate white meats
The Rosé signed Bergmannhof is a South Tyrolean rosé wine rich in fragrant fruity and floral hints, matured partly in oak barrels and partly in terracotta amphorae. This bottle is the result of a combination of the black grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinot Noir, international grapes that in the South Tyrolean area provide qualitatively excellent results. In particular, these varieties can be vinified in red in the traditional manner or in rosé, a type of wine that enhances the freshness and minerality of the terroir.
Bergmannhof Rosé originates from a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinot Noir grapes grown using sustainable agronomic practices. The vineyards are located in the Eppan area, planted on clay-limestone soils rich in skeleton, at an altitude of 270 metres above sea level. Winemaking is carried out partly with a short skin maceration directly in the press and partly with the "salasso" technique, which consists of taking an aliquot of must from a tank of macerating red wine. Alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously in oak barrels and is followed by a 6-month maturation period on the fine lees, for part of the wine in oak tonneaux and the remainder in terracotta amphorae. This is followed by blending of the two masses and then the final bottling.
The Bergmannhof Rosé has a brilliant salmon pink colour. Inviting sensations of ripe cherry, raspberry, blood orange, mulberry and violet present the aromatic range along with hints of nutmeg and herbaceous nuances. On the palate, it is fresh, clean-cut and very crisp, with a very crisp finish that brings back the red fruit notes perceived on the nose.
