'ROSSOVIGLIANO' PAOLO MARCHIONNI 2021 DESCRIPTION

"RossoVigliano," by Paolo Marchionni, is the label that represents the calling card of this young Tuscan winery. The winery was born from the passion for the traditions of his land by one of the most talented winemakers of the new generation. His simple and direct approach to the vineyard and his ideas of practicing a light and unobtrusive oenology translate into labels of great value, capable of bringing the true taste of the grape and the character of a land that has always had a vocation for viticulture in a straightforward way.

The wine "RossoVigliano" perfectly expresses the philosophy of the young vigneron Paolo Marchionni, who has been able to establish himself in the crowded Tuscan wine scene with very original labels. His work is oriented toward the production of simple and authentic wines, true expressions of the typical character of the territory. The Sangiovese vines are grown in the classic area of the variety, on the gentle exposures of the Florentine hills in the Vigliano area, on soils particularly suited for red grapes, composed of sand, limestone, silt and clay. The grapes are harvested in the second half of September and the clusters are sent to spontaneous fermentation, with only indigenous yeasts, in concrete tanks, with maceration on the skins lasting a couple of weeks. The wine rests for 10 months in cement and is bottled without any filtering, so as to maintain its complete integrity.

"RossoVigliano," produced by Paolo Marchionni, is the most typical wine of the area. It is the version of Sangiovese that has always been present on Tuscan tables, particularly appreciated for its youthful immediacy, pleasant sip and extraordinary ductility in pairing with traditional Tuscan dishes. In the glass it is light ruby red in color with luminous reflections. Fruity and fragrant, it offers intense aromas of morello cherry, wild berries, ripe cherries, nuances of violets and officinal herbs. Medium-bodied, it sips with crisp, ripe fruit, fine tannins and a vein of lively freshness. The finish is harmonious, with good flavor persistence.
