Vincent Grall's Sancerre ‘Le Manoir’ is an elegant and exotic white wine made solely from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. It is produced in the eastern Loire on siliceous and calcareous clay soils, the so-called ‘terres blanches’, from which grapes are obtained that will give pineapple and lychee aromas. With ageing, then, hints of wood and vanilla are added to the sensory bouquet, making ‘Le Manoir’ a gastronomic and complex wine that can be paired with smoked fish, savoury pastry or melted cheese
