SAUVIGNON 'LAFOA' COLTERENZIO 2022 DESCRIPTION

Sauvignon wine "Lafòa" is a white wine endowed with great taste, with an excellently developed olfactory spectrum. A product of truly excellent workmanship, as evidenced by the awards it obtained over the years, which, moreover, is also capable of facing a further period of aging in the cellar, defying time and increasing its appeal. A label that belongs to the most prestigious line of the entire Colterenzio range, and which transports us to a dimension where dreams come true.

This white Sauvignon "Lafòa" originates from the use of an international grape grown all over the world, Sauvignon. The Colterenzio winery team raises vines of this variety in vineyards characterized by a subsoil composed of sand and gravel, of morainic origin. Yields are always kept very low, and never exceed 45 hectoliters per hectare, thus always guaranteeing organoleptically perfect clusters. Once the grapes reach the winemaking facilities, they macerate briefly on the skins, fermenting both in steel and in barriques, where malolactic fermentation also takes place partially. Aging continues for a period of 8 months, and half of the final mass matures in steel, while the other rests in wood.

Sauvignon "Lafòa" is a wine that, in the glass, is bright golden yellow in color, decidedly shiny. Rich and layered is the set of scents that envelop the nose, which, from exotic fruit to mountain herbs, reaches up to typically varietal sensations, such as tomato leaf. On the palate it is full-bodied, round, juicy and tasty, with a sip characterized by pleasant freshness; it is striking for its finish, endowed with an excellent persistence. A label that embodies the excellence of the viticulture of Alto Adige, as demonstrated by the excellent awards given to it by the main Italian wine guides.
