SAUVIGNON 'SANCT VALENTIN' MAGNUM SAN MICHELE APPIANO 2023 DESCRIPTION

Sauvignon "Sanct Valentin" from San Michele Appiano is part of the winery's most prestigious collection, offering a range of labels from the estate's best grapes. The goal is to create a high-level range that best represents the terroir. These are intense, elegant and complex wines characterized by remarkable richness and aromatic concentration. This extraordinary Sauvignon Blanc, which has joined the elite of the region's benchmark whites for many years, is no exception. A wine of great charm, elegant, complex and persistent, reserved for enthusiasts and connoisseurs looking for exciting tastings.

"Sanct Valentin" Sauvignon is a great territorial wine which comes from one of the most important wineries in South Tyrol. The San Michele Appiano winery is a cooperative of 350 members that manages 360 hectares of vineyards, the basis for the production of wines of excellent quality. The grapes used to make this prestigious version of Sauvignon Blanc come from selected vineyards between 10 and 30 years old, located in the hilly area above San Michele and Appiano Monte, at an elevation between 450 and 600 meters above sea level, with southeast-facing exposure. The soils are gravelly in nature, with a high limestone content. Harvesting is done manually towards the end of September. After soft pressing, 75% of the must ferments are in stainless steel tanks and the rest in oak tonneaux. After 6 months of ageing on the lees, final blending and bottling take place.

The white Sauvignon "Sanct Valentin," from the South Tyrolean winery San Michele Appiano, was born in 1989 and has collected many accolades and awards, which have established its international reputation. Sauvignon Blanc is a grape variety that has adapted best to the region's climate. Light yellow in colour, with light green highlights, it expresses a very intense bouquet, with aromas of fruit, yellow fruit, tropical hints, floral and herbal nuances. Harmonious and rich, it offers an ample sip, marked by dense and very persistent aromas, stretching towards a long fresh and aromatic finish. A magnum for ageing!
