Saint Clair's Sauvignon Reserve "Wairau" is part of the high-end collection, which houses the most prestigious labels from this famous New Zealand winery. The bottle represents the highest expression of the typical characteristics that Sauvignon Blanc gives in the Marlborough region. It is a very special version of the famous French grape variety, which enhances, above all, the fruity character and, in particular, the soft notes of exotic fruit, giving the pleasure of a wide, rich and satisfying sip. In addition, it is a wine with a strong personality and a very territorial cut, easily traceable from the very first sip to New Zealand, which has had the merit of finding an original and very recognizable interpretative key to the grape variety.

The "Wairau" Reserve is a pure Sauvignon Blanc produced by one of New Zealand's most important wine entities. St. Clair owns a large estate in Marlborough and, since the late 1970s, has been producing high quality wines that have carved out an important space in international markets. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes used to create the Reserve come from carefully selecting the best vineyards on the Wairau Valley estate. At the end of the harvest, the clusters are softly pressed, and the flower must ferment in low-temperature steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine matures for a few months in steel tanks to preserve all the exuberant fragrance of aromas and flavours intact.

Saint Clair's Sauvignon Reserve "Wairau" wine is one of the most interesting interpretations made on New Zealand soil of this famous semi-aromatic grape variety. The Marlborough area producers have chosen to focus decisively on enhancing the aromatic thiol precursors, which connote the wine with a decidedly tropical profile. To the eye, it is bright straw yellow in colour. The olfactory framework opens on scents of grapefruit, kiwi, white peach, passion fruit, lychee, mango, shades of sage and tomato leaf. The sip is rich and juicy, with ripe, soft fruit and dense aromas, well balanced by a fresh and persistent finish.
