Vina Ane's Selección is an intense yet fresh pure Tempranillo, which is aged 13 months in French oak barrels. Hints of tobacco and dried fruit emerge on the nose and anticipate a sensation of complexity and fullness on the palate. Ideal to enjoy with spicy and hearty dishes
The Rioja 'Selección' from Viña Ane is a broad and balanced expression of Tempranillo, the undisputed varietal symbol of the famous wine region of Rioja. Located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, in the prestigious area of Rioja Alta, the Viña Ane winery is passionately led by the Monge-Garbati spouses, who take care of nearly 5 hectares of vineyards from which they produce wine capable of interpreting the established local tradition in a modern key. To achieve this, owners Eduardo Monge and Lorena Garbati adopt a precise winemaking approach, far from sophistication and excessive interventions.
The 'Selección' Viña Ane Rioja is made solely from Tempranillo grapes grown on clay-limestone soils within the Valseca and Tasugueras plots, situated at an altitude of about 600 meters above sea level. The clusters are manually selected during harvest and then vinified red through 10 days of alcoholic fermentation in French oak barrels at controlled temperature, with 6 days of skin maceration and complete malolactic fermentation. The subsequent aging phase of 13 months also takes place in French oak barrels, and after further bottle aging, the wine is finally ready for release to the market.
Visually, the 'Selección' Rioja from Viña Ane displays a purple-red color tending towards ruby. The aromatic profile is enticing with hints of cherry, blackberry, blue flowers, dark chocolate, tobacco, and dried fruit, surrounded by complex sensations of laurel, cedar wood, and cloves. The taste is very fresh and flavorful, with excellent balance, defined by a full body and soft tannic structure, with a finish of great intensity and mineral persistence.
