The Sforzato of Valtellina "Fruttaio" by Rainoldi is important and a robust red wine, elegant and exclusively produced in favorable years since grapes are sourced from the best vineyards planted with Nebbiolo in sub-areas of terraced Grumello, Valgella and Valtellina Superiore. The "Fruttaio" by Rainoldi is a Sforzato of Valtellina that fully represents the heroic viticulture: the vineyards are literally climbed up and perched on the slopes pendants and more rugged side. The clusters of Sforzato Valtellina "Fruttaio" by Rainoldi are left to dry on racks in "Ca Rizzieri" the higher ‘fruttaio’ of Rainoldi, situated at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, where the grapes benefit from a dry and breezy climate; a climate that is ideal support for the natural drying of the grapes. Fermentation and aging in new French oak barriques "Allier" for 15 months and in bottle over 12 months. Thus was born Sforzato of Valtellina "Fruttaio" by Rainoldi, a red wine with great structure and elegance, typical garnet red color and intense aroma of spices, fruit in alcohol and hints of coffee, cocoa, toasted hazelnuts and dried grapes. A red wine persuasive, powerful, intense, austere, full and harmonious. A red that matches perfectly to the local game and mature cheeses, but can also be savored as a sipping wine. A great wine.
