SPUMANTE METODO CLASSICO 'BRUT CONTADINO' CIRO PICARIELLO DESCRIPTION

Metodo Classico "Brut Contadino" is a straightforward and genuine sparkling wine, cared for by Ciro Picariello down to the smallest detail. The winery, located in Summonte in the province of Avellino, is characterized by a production philosophy attentive to nature and the surrounding environment, respectful of the varietal characteristics of the vines grown. This approach gives rise to labels such as "Brut Contadino," a bottle of sparkling wine with a pleasant sip and very versatile in gastronomic settings.

This Metodo Classico "Brut Contadino" sparkling wine is created by the Picariello winery from the pure grapes of a great white grape variety from Campania, Fiano. The vines of this variety grow in vineyards facing northeast, located at an elevation of about 650 meters above sea level, and are rooted in a terroir characterized by a subsoil composed of clay and rock. The grapes, once harvested, ferment spontaneously at room temperature in stainless steel tanks. The partially fermented must is cold decanted and then bottled. Re-fermentation takes place, following Metodo Classico production principles, in the bottle, where the wine remains to age in contact with its own yeasts for 24 months.

"Brut Contadino" is a Metodo Classico sparkling wine that, on visual inspection, has a straw colour, is light and not very intense; the perlage is fine and persistent. Deep are the aromas that can be perceived on the nose, with notes that, from floral, turn towards toasted and nuances that bring back to yeasts and bread crust. On the palate, it is light-bodied and crisp, with an engaging sip marked by a pleasant freshness; it closes with a beautifully persistent finish. A product with which the Ciro Picariello winery confirms its prowess not only with still wines but also with quality bubbly.
