SPUMANTE METODO CLASSICO BRUT 'AMIRA' SAOTTINI DESCRIPTION

The Metodo Classico Brut 'Amira' sparkling wine from the Brescia winery Saottini is a bubbly characterized by a creamy and intense taste, attributes that make this sparkling wine quite gastronomic. Among the main varieties cultivated by the Saottini family, the Groppello stands out, a black grape variety traditionally grown on the southeastern side of Lake Garda. What distinguishes wines made from Groppello grapes are the aromas of red fruits and peppercorns and the rather pronounced acidity, the latter of which favors its production even in sparkling versions.

The Metodo Classico 'Amira' Saottini sparkling wine is produced from grapes of a single black grape variety, harvested by hand in crates and carefully selected to work only with the best grapes. The clusters are then gently pressed whole, with the resulting must left to settle for a short period to encourage sediment deposition. This is followed by the first alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16°C by selected yeasts. Once ready, the base sparkling wine is bottled with the addition of tirage syrup for secondary fermentation according to the Metodo Classico, associated with at least 24 months of aging on the lees before disgorging and subsequent Brut dosage.

The Brut 'Amira' Metodo Classico sparkling wine from Saottini has a straw-yellow color with fine and persistent bubbles. On the nose, pleasant aromas of ripe white-fleshed fruit emerge first, soon joined by floral notes and subtle hints of sweet spices. The palate develops into a rich and full-bodied taste, intense and creamy, well supported by the fresh and savory component that anticipates a closure of good persistence.
