The Spumante Metodo Classico 'Dubl Edition' Feudi di San Gregorio is a fresh and creamy sparkling wine, perfect for toasting friends or accompanying fish dinners. The sip is vibrant, flowing, with a fine and enveloping mousse, while the nose expresses notes of citrus, white peach, floral hints and bitter almond
The Classic Method Sparkling Wine ‘Dubl Edition’ from the renowned Campanian winery Feudi di San Gregorio is a label that rightfully ranks among the best bubbles in Southern Italy. It is the result of a project started in 2004 with the goal of creating great Classic Method sparkling wines from native Campanian grape varieties, primarily Greco and Aglianico. Dubl has thus become an independent brand, synonymous with quality and terroir, demonstrating the potential for sparkling wine production in Irpinia, a region long known for producing great white and red wines. The packaging of the sparkling wines, from the bottle design to the label, is the work of designer Massimo Vignelli.
The ‘Dubl Edition’ Feudi di San Gregorio Classic Method Sparkling Wine is made from traditional white grapes sourced from several small vineyards, with an average vine age of 15 years, planted on volcanic soils. The harvest is done by hand with careful grape selection, and the grapes are then pressed whole cluster. The resulting must undergoes alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature, followed by secondary fermentation in the bottle using the Classic Method. Aging on the lees lasts for 38-42 months, after which disgorging and final dosage are performed.
Feudi di San Gregorio ‘Dubl Edition’ Classic Method Sparkling Wine has a brilliant straw yellow color with golden reflections and a fine, persistent effervescence. The aromas range from citrus notes to hints of white peach and flowers, with pleasant touches of bitter almond and distinct mineral tones. The taste is fresh, savory, and well-balanced, with the fine bubbles enhancing the lingering citrus and mineral finish.
