SPUMANTE METODO CLASSICO NATURE MONSUPELLO DESCRIPTION

Monsupello's Brut Nature is a dry, elegant and intense sparkling wine obtained from the sparkling of Pinot Noir grapes and a small part of Chardonnay. A name, a certainty and a guarantee of excellence, Monsupello belongs to that circle of sparkling wine houses that have become a reference point in the Oltrepò Pavese wine scene, by virtue of unique sparkling wines with great character. Merit is surely also due to the long tradition that binds the Boatti family to these marvelous lands; a history that began back in 1893 and continues to this day through the production of Metodo Classico wines of rare quality. Brut Nature is the most authentic symbol of this winery, a bubble of international prestige that every year always confirms itself among the most interesting expressions of the territory and in general of all Italy.

The just over 15-year-old vines of Monsupello's Spumante Nature grow in the foothills of the villages of Torricella Verzate and Olivera Gessi and are rooted in an area rich in clay and limestone, which gives the final product a pleasant mineral-soapy note. The grapes are harvested early around the second half of August so as to preserve the integrity and freshness of the fruit. Once brought to the winery, they undergo, in the shortest possible time, a soft pressing of the whole grapes with subsequent separation of must from stems and marc. The flower must ferments first in steel and then re-fermented in the bottle with the addition of a liquer de tirage. The refermentation lasts about 36 months, the time required for the yeasts to impart all their nuances.

Monsupello Nature sparkles in the glass with its brilliant straw-golden yellow coat, furrowed by a very fine and persistent perlage. The nose is very complex and rich; fruity and floral nuances emerge at first, which then in a few seconds give way to evolved tones of bread crust, toasted mondorla, soft mineral notes and light essences of pan briosce. Subtle, fine and endowed with a graceful physiognomy, it envelops the palate with softness and refinement, letting a gustatory tension emerge, given by a vibrant freshness and stimulated by a persuasive and creamy bubble. The perfect successful sparkling wine for any aperitif or for moments of pure conviviality and cheerfulness. Impeccable!
