Trento Spumante Brut Riserva Letrari is a Metodo Classico of great freshness and aromatic intensity, produced with a balanced blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. It is certainly one of the most interesting labels of the denomination, a reference point for all fans of the great Trentino sparkling wine tradition. Thanks to long ageing on yeasts, it gives notes ranging from fruity to hints of the bread crust to more evolved and mature nuances always crossed by the limpid freshness characteristic of mountain wines.
Spumante Trento Brut Riserva is born in a land that has always had a vocation for quality viticulture. The splendid mountain exposures, sunny but always cool and ventilated, and a climate characterized by great temperature changes allow the grapes to ripen slowly. The poor soils, with the presence of rocks and pebbles, are very draining and rich in valuable minerals for the sustenance of the vines. The vineyards of the Letrari estate are located in the Rovereto area and cover a total of about twenty hectares, divided into several parcels. Thanks to careful agronomic conditions and winery work carried out with passion and expertise, Metodo Classico Letrari has established itself as a national excellence.
The Metodo Classico Trento Brut Riserva from the Letrari winery represents the essence of the terroir translated into wine. It is a Millesimato that expresses in a linear way the characteristics of the terroir of origin. The cuveé is composed of Chardonnay, which gives elegance and finesse, and Pinot Noir, which contributes structure and intensity. At the end of fermentation, the base wines are blended, and the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, according to the Metodo Classico, with a rest on the lees for at least 36 months. It has a golden colour with brilliant reflections, furrowed by a very fine and continuous perlage. The bouquet expresses elegant aromas with fruity notes, floral nuances, hints of bread crust and pastry, hints of dried fruit, toasted hazelnuts and spices. The palate has a fresh and savoury attack, stretching creamy toward a fruity centre of the mouth and a vibrant, lingering finish. Uncompromising excellence.
