The Spumante Metodo Classico Rosé Brut Monsupello is a wine with a great personality and a testament to the work that the winery located in Torricella Verzate, in the Oltrepò Pavese, is pursuing by focusing on the production of wines of great depth and character. Commitment and dedication have always been core values of the winery's founder Carlo Boiatti, who described his love and passion for wine as follows: "Wine is a miracle of nature assisted by the intelligence and effort of man. It is culture, it is history, in a word, it is civilization."
Monsupello Spumante Metodo Classico Rosé Brut is made from 100 percent Pinot Noir grapes rooted in soils with a clay-limestone texture and vineyards with an average age of about 15 years. From the second half of August, the harvest begins, which is done exclusively by hand so that the best bunches can be selected and then transferred and processed in the winery. Here vinification takes place with a short period of cold soaking and in an oxygen-free environment to allow better colour extraction from the Pinot Noir berries. Once the free-run juice is obtained and fermented in steel tanks, it is then aged again in steel. It then proceeds following the champenoise method with the second refermentation, which takes place in the bottle.
Spumante Metodo Classico Rosé Brut Monsupello colours the glass with a wonderful salmon pink enhanced by a fine perlage of great persistence. On the nose, the typical scents of Metodo Classico sparkling wines dominate, one is, in fact, intoxicated by hints of bread crust punctuated by fruity and floral aromas such as apple and dog rose. In the mouth, it is dry, where a delicate freshness allows the wine to boast a persistence that never seems to want to leave us. A typical "all meal" sparkling wine capable of being a leading player in a table, from appetizers to main courses. Awarded several times by trade magazines, it is a real gem with elegant bubbles, a surprise that Oltrepò Pavese gives us and that, even taking a look at the price, it is a pity not to try.
