'Tahulla' is a Spanish Muscat that was born near the sea on white sand soils. Fermented in steel, where the refinement also continues, this white has a rich and aromatic olfactory profile, with balsamic notes, Mediterranean herbs and memories of the sea. On the palate it is fleshy and long, with a lively marine freshness
The 'Tahulla' of Aida I Luis Vinyaters was born in the first hinterland of the Mediterranean coast in the area between Valencia and Murcia. In 2018, a couple of winemakers decided to undertake a project to enhance the territory, producing wines that could express the potential of the Spanish territory. Production is limited to just a few bottles, and native vines are grown that are perfectly adapted to the climate and, thanks to it, are able to express their qualities to the full.
The pure Muscat grapes of Aida I Luis Vinyaters 'Tahulla' grow in a Mediterranean climate, affected by summers and winters with mild temperatures and sea breezes that make the rows dry, ensuring good grapes ripening. The soil is often dry, but the plants drive their roots very deep, finding underground water so that they are always lush and flourishing. The grapes are harvested by hand, and once in the cellar, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts; it macerates 4 days cold. It matures 3 months in steel on fine lees and 10 months without lees.
The colour of Aida I Luis Vinyaters' 'Tahulla' is golden yellow with bright highlights. On the nose, notes of aromatic herbs, citrus and ripe fruit stand out, with salty hints on the finish; on the palate, it is savoury, aromatic and enveloping, with a good final persistence that invites drinking. It pairs perfectly with smoked fish, shellfish and fried dishes; also excellent with first courses based on flavours of the sea. A product to be enjoyed at sunset by the sea for romantic evenings, savouring in the glass all the flavour of a land with great potential, and that is the fruit of conscious and careful work by people who appreciate the gifts of the nature that surrounds us.
