Abate Nero’s Trento Spumante Brut is the classic label of the winery, which perfectly represents the stylistic choice marked by refined finesse and limpid freshness. It is a 100% Chardonnay made with grapes from the most suitable areas of the region, vinified and sparkling with the Classic Method with the sole aim of enhancing the excellent quality and aromatic richness. Recognized for many years as one of the landmark brands of the territory, it gives a bottle of great quality, particularly suitable to be tasted at the time of the aperitif, with seafood appetizers or to accompany a fish dinner with simple cooking and delicate flavors.
The Spumante Trento Brut di Abate Nero comes from Chardonnay grapes that come from a selection of different parcels, located in various areas of the region at an altitude between 200 and 800 meters above sea level: from the north shore of Lake Garda to the first reliefs that rise towards South Tyrol, up to the valuable area of Val di Cembra. A mountain viticulture, made in areas characterized by a very cool climate and with strong temperature variations, ideal to bring to maturity grapes for sparkling. The best bunches are gently pressed to extract only the flower must. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The base wines rest some months before the blending and the second fermentation, which is done in bottle according to the rules of the Classic Method, with a stop on the lees of at least 24 months before the disgorgement.
The Classic Method Trento Brut Abate Nero is an elegant Blanc de Blancs, which stands among the best expressions of the typology. Its essential, vertical and linear character makes it perfect for those who love the freshness of mountain Chardonnay. In the glass it has a pale straw yellow color with pale greenish reflections. The perlage is subtle, luminous and persistent. The aroma seduces with scents of white flowers, lime peel, cedar, grapefruit, aromas of white pulp fruits, hints of bread crust, almond and dried fruit. The mouthfeel is taut and intense, with a delicate fruit and a savory finish, with great citrus freshness.
