The Trento Spumante Rosé Brut 'Franz' from Terre del Lagorai is a mountain sparkling wine with a delicate soul, produced using the prized Metodo Classico technique. This sparkling wine-making procedure, which is the basis of the Trento DOC sparkling wine production regulations, involves a second fermentation of the base wine in the bottle thanks to the addition of the so-called 'draught syrup'. In the case of Trento DOC, the minimum period of ageing on the lees is 15 months, which is essential to define the soft, fragrant character of the bubble.

The Rosé Brut 'Franz' Terre del Lagorai Spumante Trento is made from pure Pinot Nero grapes grown in the Valsugana region at an altitude of between 300 and 700 metres above sea level. The vineyards also benefit from excellent south-westerly exposure and significant temperature swings between day and night, which are essential for enhancing the grapes' aromatic qualities. Processing in the cellar involves the soft pressing of the grapes and then the alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks. Once ready, the sparkling wine base is bottled with the addition of draught syrup for re-fermentation in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, combined with a rest period of at least 15 months on the lees. This is followed by disgorgement and dosage as Brut.

To the eye, the 'Franz' Trento Brut Rosé Spumante di Terre del Lagorai reveals a soft pink hue with coppery reflections and lively effervescence. The aromatic bouquet is composed of fragrant sensations of red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry, surrounded by hints of violet and sweet hints of meringue on the finish. Ample, deep yet delicate on the palate, the soft bubbles combine with the brilliant freshness in a very pleasant progression.
