The Valgella "Ca' Morei" by Fay is one of those great wines that we love to advise you. Is immediately striking for its freshness and its complexity, given by a prolonged maceration on the skins and aged in second and third passage barriques for 12 months. The winery Fay is a real institution in that of Teglio, in the heart of the Valtellina; here Dad Sandro and his sons Marco and Elena have created an authentic heritage. The key to understanding the personality of the wines of Fay is the altitude; Valgella begins in the vineyard Ca’ Morei, located 550 meters above sea level, where the temperature ranges between day and night are really important; Marco Fay says that here is the segment of the temperature inversion, where the warm air fronts overlap with those cold, ensuring a harmonious and balanced ripening. The result is a great Nebbiolo from Valtellina that in the chalice reveals all its character and charming personality. A crisp red fruit and a spicy backbone are accompanied by a freshness important.
