VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO SUPERIORE QUINTARELLI 2015 DESCRIPTION

This Valpolicella Classico Superiore presents itself, from the very first moments, as a red endowed with great taste completeness and an excellently developed olfactory spectrum. Indeed, nothing is out of place in this bottle signed Quintarelli, a production reality that, for all enthusiasts, embodies the best of what Valpolicella can offer. Indeed, this winery was founded in the early 1900s, revolutionized the way of making wine in the Veneto region, and has been a source of inspiration for many winemakers in the area with its products. Just like this, Valpolicella Classico Superiore a blend where native and international grape varieties merge into a single soul made of elegance and personality.

The Quintarelli winery makes Valpolicella Classico Superiore by blending together three red grape varieties, where, alongside Corvina and Rondinella, we find an international variety, Cabernet. Once picked during the harvest stage, the grapes are brought in wooden crates to the winemaking rooms for crushing. Fermentation then starts, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, which lasts for a period of 7-8 days. This is followed by ageing, carried out in Slavonian oak barrels of different capacities for 60 months, at the end of which the wine is ready to be bottled.

This Valpolicella Classico Superiore wine manifests itself to the eye with an intense and concentrated colour, not very penetrable, recalling the dark ruby hue. The olfactory spectrum opens on spicy notes, which slowly hint at fruit and underbrush notes. It is full-bodied, balanced on the palate, with a concentrated mouthfeel in which the tannic component is particularly fine. A label with which the Quintarelli winery continues a history of success and prestige that proclaims it as an undisputed point of reference for the entire Valpolicella region.
