The Verdicchio Riserva di Villa Bucci is a full-bodied, intense, round and complex white wine aged for 18 months in oak barrels. Aromas of fruit, spices, herbs, honey and hazelnuts accompany a smooth and rich, elegant and balanced sip. The freshness of Verdicchio combined with the complexity of barrel aging!
The Verdicchio Classico Riserva "Villa Bucci" is a white wine atypical. We can define it atypical because, with your eyes closed, you could almost mistake it for a red wine. And this can only lead to the implications of the enthusiast who like red wine will have to treat it. Since the temperature of that service, especially for older vintages, it must not be extremely cool how active you are with the whites, but that should be a little lower than the ambient temperature, an indication that we would like to give you 16°-18°C.
Being a red wine mask is undoubtedly the peculiarities of this Verdicchio Classico Riserva, a characteristic that comes from long aging in barrel and bottle before then. A refinement that evolves the aromas of the wine, placing second primary ones, typically floral and it does not emerge with typical indifferent seconds and tertiary ones. Aromas of herbs, spices, savory and mineral notes that are enhanced with oxygenation, which is why we recommend to let it breathe in the glass.
The vineyard "Villa Bucci" with his 40 years old is one of the oldest of the estate, an age that brings the vineyard to have well-developed roots, able to bring the nourishment of the earth in the grape first and in the wine then. An advantage that is the basis of this Verdicchio Classico Riserva "Villa Bucci", a white wine ‘transformed’ in red, with a nose that opens with notes of honey and hazelnut to finish with hints of spicy, complex structure, imposing and elegant.
