The Ruché Laccento di Montalbera is a red wine that is simply impossible not to fall in love with. Once considered the wine of festivities, it now carries a legendary aura, often associated with the nectar that accompanied the Asti militias during the Crusades, contributing to the Lombards' victory over the Franks in the battles of Refrancore. Its crisp aromas stem from the fact that 95% of the production comes from overripe grapes, while the remaining 5% is harvested from grapes picked earlier than their optimal ripening stage. After the harvest, Montalbera’s Ruché rests for at least six months in the bottle at a temperature never exceeding 10 degrees Celsius—a condition that ensures and preserves the high residual sugar content of this wine.
