WHISKY SINGLE MALT DOUBLE WOOD BALVENIE 12 ANNI DESCRIPTION

The Single Malt Double Wood 12 years encapsulates the strength of the Whiskies made on Speyside, increased by a particular choice made by the Balvenie distillery, which decided to make it starting with ageing in two types of wood: ex-Bourbon oak barrels and ex-Sherry casks. A decision that makes this product even more structured and complex, where the aromas on the nose are elegant and structured at the same time, opening to a full and enveloping sip, endowed with a particular incisiveness during drinking. A label for true connoisseurs, who wish to confront a Whisky of a decidedly superior level.

This Single Malt Double Wood 12-year-old Whisky comes from a selection of Whiskies that all originate from barley malt obtained from Balvenie's own cultivations. In fact, the distillery owns about 1000 acres where it grows barley using natural techniques. The distillation process is carried out with passion and attention to the smallest details and leads to the production of Whisky, with ageing carried out in new and first-pass wood containing Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry respectively - from which the final cut is then made to obtain this Single Malt.

The Single Malt Double Wood 12 Anni is a whisky that develops in the glass with a golden yellow colour, endowed with good concentration and intensity. On the nose, sweet and rich scents emerge, moving on a fruity texture, also enriched by clear hints of cream and cinnamon. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, enveloping on the palate, with a sip characterised by a good aromatic taste. A label born of the Balvenie distillery's desire to unite different paths and refinements in a single soul, to be discovered and known through a curious and enterprising spirit.
