Whisky Single Malt Benrinnes 11 yo Artist Collective 2010

Benrinnes Single Malt 11 Years Old Whisky is a fine spirits produced in a limited edition through the collaboration between the Benrinnes distillery and La Maison du Whisky with the Artist Collective project. Indeed, La Maison du Whisky, a French distributor of various products, including spirits, which has also become a bottler with the Artist Collective selection, is behind this project. The aim is to create a limited production of the highest quality, collaborating with important distilleries and entrusting the illustration of the labels to contemporary artists. In this case, the illustration is by the Italian artist Stoz, skilled in exploring the power of shapes and colours.
Benrinnes Artist Collective Single Malt Whisky 11 Years Old is produced in the Strathspey region from only barley malt, making it a Speyside Single Malt. During the malting stage, which involves steeping the barley grains in water to promote germination, the starches in the grain are broken down into simple sugars. These sugars can then be metabolised by yeasts during alcoholic fermentation and the fermented product is then distilled in discontinuous stills at the Benrinnes distillery. Once the distillation process is complete, the liquid is transferred to former sherry oak casks for ageing for a full 11 years.
The colour of Single Malt Whisky Artist Collective Benrinnes 11 Years Old is amber with reddish and mahogany hues. The nose offers complex and original aromas of sultanas, cola nut, tamarind, chestnut honey, ripe dark fruit and oriental spices. Warm, soft and intense on the palate, with a long aromatic persistence.
