Florian Le Capitaine's winery is located in the Loire Valley, precisely in Rochecorbon, a municipality in the Touraine district, where the vigneron founded his own venture in 2017, embracing a truly artisanal and genuine production ethos from the start. Son of a winemaker, Florian worked for 6 years in the family estate until, at just twenty-seven, he decided to carve his own path, driven by a strong passion for the vineyard and the determination to pursue his idea of wine. Florian is also a member of the association Vignerons Independants de France, founded with the aim of promoting vine growers who work entirely independently and sustainably.

Florian Le Capitaine's estate comprises 6 hectares of vineyards, managed under certified organic practices and entirely dedicated to Chenin Blanc, the flagship white grape variety of the central Loire region. This grape thrives on the clay-limestone soils of the Vouvray area, particularly within parcels located on south-facing slopes near the Loire River. Recently, Florian has begun the conversion to biodynamic agriculture, drawing on the teachings of producer Jean-Bernard Berthomé from the renowned Domaine Huet. Harvesting is done by hand, and in the cellar, vinifications take place with minimal intervention, entrusting fermentations to native yeasts only and refraining from using enzymes and other additives, including sulfur. Oak barrels, strictly of multiple passages, are used as wine containers to avoid imparting dominant wood aromas to the wines. Aging takes place on fine lees for periods of 4-5 months, and throughout the entire process, clarification operations are excluded, preserving the wine's most authentic expression.

Florian Le Capitaine's Vouvray wines come from the 'Les Aumones' parcel, recognized among the prized vineyards of the region. Here, very refined and balanced Chenin wines are born, characterized by a pronounced mineral character and destined for long aging.
