Located in Cesinali, a municipality in the province of Avellino, Campania's I Favati winery is a point of reference for the area, particularly when it comes to Fiano di Avellino. At the helm of the estate is the Petrozziello-Favati family, represented by Rosanna Petrozziello, her husband Giancarlo Favati and brother-in-law Piersabino Favati, who in the late 1990s gave up their respective working careers to pick up the Favati family's centuries-old winemaking tradition by officially founding today's winery. This close-knit family team, which has significantly expanded the estate's vineyard acreage in recent years, then relies on the advice of expert winemaker Vincenzo Mercurio. Alongside wine production, the estate is also dedicated to hospitality thanks to the beautiful Villa Carolina I Favati, an accommodation facility adjacent to the winery.

The native varieties Fiano, Greco and Aglianico occupy the 50 hectares of vineyards owned by the I Favati winery, conducted with respect for the environment by applying the principles of integrated pest management, aimed at minimizing the use of phytosanitary treatments. The soils on which the vines grow, located at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level, are rich in clay, limestone, tuff and mineral elements. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks for both whites and reds, sometimes adopting the technique of cryomaceration, aimed at enhancing the aromatic heritage of the grapes. Subsequent maturation periods always take place in steel or in barriques, tonneaux and large oak barrels, of first or multiple passages, depending on the label under consideration.

The production of the I Favati winery focuses on the historic appellations of the Avellino area, such as Fiano di Avellino, Taurasi and Greco di Tufo, true excellences of Campania's enology. Among the labels most celebrated by national and international critics, the Fiano di Avellino Riserva 'Pietramara - Etichetta Bianca' stands out in particular, an interpretation that is striking for its mineral character and territoriality.
