Kofererhof

Place in a dream location, on a hill above Brixen, at the foot of the Dolomites, Kofererhof has seen the succession of many winemakers generations, until 1995, when Gunther Kerschbaumer began to bottle his own wines. Since then the quality has improved harvest in harvest, and today we can safely consider it among the best “Bianchisti”, producers of white wines, of Italy.

His wines, elegant with great personality and stylistic precision, are the personification of the Valle Isarco. The vines grow on the hill around and under the farm, well exposed to the south, with the varieties cleverly positioned at an altitude ranging from 600 meters up to, with the Muller Thurgau, 800 meters.

The land, with glacial origin, tending to light and sandy, rich slate and granite, is perfect for the production of salty and mineral wines, incredibly full of personality and character. Even the strong temperature changes between night and day, remarkable especially in the fall, are ideal for amplifying the perfumes and aromatic complexity.

The skill of Gunther, his innate love for these territories and the soil and climatic conditions of the latter are the elements that help to create white wines by the elegance and refinement unique, reaching levels of quality year after year, more and more. It is not surprising then, that when we write Gunther may very well be considered one of the most capable “Bianchisti” of Italy: wines confirm!
