Azienda Agricola San Giuseppe took its first steps in the world of wine production in 1989, when building contractor Giovanni Battistella decided to invest his forces in Prosecco, in which he believes blindly. The first vineyards purchased are located in San Pietro Feletto, in the Altamarca Trevigiana, now the production site. It is one of 15 municipalities included in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Production Area, in which Conegliano is its cultural capital and Valdobbiadene its production capital. San Giuseppe is an active participant in the protection consortium with which it has been associated for 15 years. The winery covers a 14-hectare hilly terrain facing south, where the vineyards enjoy excellent sun exposure, in addition the altitude allows for large temperature ranges that develop a vast tableu of aromasThe winery is a family-run and the baton was passed five years ago with Giovanni's son, Carlo, a graduate in Viticulture and Enology, who has already excellently demonstrated his management skills.

The San Giuseppe winery has, in addition, invested heavily in technological development and currently possesses highly advanced machinery, thus ensuring that the production process runs smoothly. The grapes used are 100% Glera and are harvested by hand to preserve the characteristics of the raw material, a basic requirement for obtaining fine bottles. Fermentation takes place in steel and the sparkling process is carried out in stainless steel autoclaves for about 45 days according to the Charmat/Martinotti method. The result is the full expression of the typical aromas of the grape variety and an almost sharp freshness, easy to drink and with strong gastronomic power.

San Giuseppe's prospects currently point not only to increasing sales volumes, but also to quality through the conversion to organic, through Bio Europe and Bio Suisse certification for the Swiss market. Sustainability becomes especially important for the preservation of the terroir, for which important bottles such as Prosecco Treviso Extra Dry, Prosecco Valdobbiadene Brut and Prosecco Valdobbiadene Extra dry with their fresh and direct souls are great spokesmen.
