Tito's

Tito's is an American vodka brand that works on an artisanal basis to offer the best vodka in the country. It all started in the mid-1990s in Austin, Texas, when Tito Beveridge, a Texan involved in the oil and gas industry, began out of sheer passion to make flavoured vodka to give as gifts to friends. Shortly afterwards, he started proposing his vodkas to local liquor dealers who, after an initial negative response, asked him to make a distillate so smooth that it could be drunk neat. Thus, in 1995 Tito obtained the first legal authorisation to distil in Texas, officially creating the Tito's Handmade Vodka brand. Actually, at the time, the producer was not familiar with the art of distilling and therefore had to read up on the subject, an arduous undertaking at the time, especially in an area not familiar with distillation. However, he discovered countless photos of old moonshiners dating back to the Prohibition era and therefore decided to undertake the construction of a small still based on these images. After several attempts and tastings, Tito finally found the right still, although eight long years of hard work were needed for the final success of the distillery. Even today, the entire distillation and bottling process takes place in Austin, at Fifth Generation Inc., which is also responsible for distribution.

Tito's signature vodka is produced from maize, a cereal that is processed to extract its sugary juice, which is then subjected to alcoholic fermentation. The fermented product then undergoes distillation indiscontinuouspot stills , an operation that is repeated no less than 6 times in the search for maximum purity of the distillate, which is finally bottled without undergoing any ageing process. Fundamental throughout the entire production cycle are the continuous tastings carried out by the Tito's team, which are essential to guarantee the success of the process.
