The Viviani winery is located in Mazzano, among the hills of Valpolicella Classica. It is a typical family business, managing a twelve-hectare property with great love and passion for an area that has always had a vocation for viticulture. Already at the time of the ancient Romans, this area northwest of Verona was famous for its wines, and after more than a millennium, this ancient tradition has been preserved intact. The Viviani family manages the winery with extreme care and produces wines with an artisanal face, capable of restoring the distinctive character of a great terroir in the glass. Today the winery represents a point of reference for fans of the great wines of Valpolicella.

The production area is characterized by a series of parallel valleys that descend from the Lessinia area towards the plain. The hillside exposures enjoy a temperate microclimate thanks to breezes from nearby Lake Garda. The vineyards are located at an altitude between 350 and 450 meters above sea level, facing south and southeast. The area is characterized by soils of a predominantly calcareous nature, with the presence of clays. The inter-rows are kept grassed so as to prevent soil erosion and good water drainage. All synthetic products have been gradually abandoned in the countryside, so as to preserve a healthy environment, the natural fertility of the soils and the biodiversity of the ecosystem as a whole.

The vines grown are those indigenous to the area, Corvina, Corvinone, Molinara and Rondinella, which have been present in the area for centuries. All harvests are carried out manually at full maturity. The bunches destined for the production of Amarone are placed on special plateaux in fruit lofts that guarantee ideal conditions of temperature and humidity to encourage natural drying, with concentration of sugars and aromatic components. Winemaking is conducted in the traditional way, with full respect for custom and the integrity of the grapes. The range of Viviani wines represents very well the character of this land and stands among the excellences of Valpolicella.
