ANARCHIA COSTITUZIONALE VIGNETI MASSA 2023 DESCRIPTION

Vigneti Massa's Constitutional Anarchy is a Piedmontese wine that originates in the Tortonese hills, specifically in Monleale in the province of Alessandria. Walter Massa and his sister Paola run the family business that was started in 1879 by their great-grandfather. Walter has decided to embark on a courageous path of change in terms of winemaking thinking and working techniques in the cellar and vineyard, thus relaunching his business and the wine scene in the Tortona area. He calls himself a wine craftsman, arguing that only synergistic work of hands, mind and heart can lead to excellent results. It is also important to mention his work in territorial enhancement with the rediscovery of the multiple potentialities of the native white Timorasso grape variety.

Vigneti Massa's Constitutional Anarchy vineyards are located about 300 meters above sea level and cover about 10 hectares in total. Human intervention in the vineyard is calibrated and operated consciously so as not to alter the natural growth and development phases of the plants and clusters and to limit the use of pesticides, herbicides and synthetic chemicals. The climate is characterized by sultry summers with high temperatures and cold, wet winters, sometimes affected by snowfall. Harvesting is done manually, and in the winery, alcoholic fermentation is triggered by indigenous yeasts 12 hours after the grapes arrive. It is bottled without any filtration or clarification.

To the eye, Vigneti Massa's Anarchia Costituzionale is straw yellow with intense highlights. The bouquet of aromas is reminiscent of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit, white summer flowers such as jasmine and hawthorn, and spicy hints on the vanilla finish; on the palate, it is creamy, inviting and elegant with freshness on the important finish that balances the structure and entices glass after glass. In pairing, it is recommended with chocolate and custard-based spoon desserts, fresh fruit cakes, dry pastries and pandoro or panettone. Perfect for the family holiday table to enjoy a pleasant end to a meal and rediscover forgotten flavours.
